Homeopathic Repertory and Materia Medicas

The two books at left below are required for attendance at the two-day seminar. The book shown at right is highly recommended for those attending the optional third day of the seminar, and for anyone serious about further study of homeopathy. A brief description of each book is provided below the image of each book's cover, as well as the approximate cost. All of the books shown are the editions that are published in India, but printed in English, and are the least cost to purchase.

Kent's Repertory

Boericke's Materia Medica

Phatak's Materia Medica

Kent's Repertory, which is the organized collection of body symptoms, is the classic repertory and is generally used by students beginning their study of homeopathy. The book is 1,550+ pages and costs about US$28. The print size tends to be rather small, so those wanting larger type (about size 10 font) may want to purchase the large edition (same content, just larger pages and type).

Boericke's Materia Medica, which is the collection of homeopathic medicines, is a classic materia medica and is generally used by students beginning their study of homeopathy. Boericke's provides a well-organized and easy to follow description of 600+ remedies, as well as identifying the original substance of each medicine. The book is 1100+ pages, covers 600+ medicines, and costs about US$15. Phatak's Materia Medica includes extremely helpful descriptions of homeopathic medicines. It's well-organized and easy to use format and many observable symptoms are extremely beneficial when working with wildlife. The book's 750+ pages covers 400+ medicines and costs about US$12.It is strongly recommended for wildlife rehabilitators.
